Scrip Program

BBSC families now have the opportunity to use the money they spend every day at stores, gas stations, restaurants, and other establishments to reduce their training fees. Click on the links below to read how.

How Does the Scrip Program Work?
A BBSC participant orders/buys a prepay card for a vendor, say a $50 card for Applebee’s. Applebee’s will give 8% of that $50 to the team. 1% will stay with the team as a fundraiser and the balance of the discount will be placed into your family’s personal "Scrip Account" to be applied against the following season’s training fees.* There are no premiums paid for this service and you get the full face value of the prepay card … this program is really a no-brainer! Other examples are Speedway Gas at 4% and Kroger at 5% (3% and 4%, respectively, going into your personal stash). The list of participating vendors is very extensive. A complete list of participating vendors can be found at www.glscrip.com.

To get started, please fill out the enrollment form along with your order form and submit them to Heather Scaife. Only one enrollment form is necessary for each family. Participants are not required to pay for their orders until they receive their "voucher(s)." Orders most often can be filled within a short week’s time.

*If for whatever reason a member family leaves Swim Indy, any accrued funds in said member’s Scrip Account would be rolled into the Swim Indy Rainy-Day Fund. No cash payouts will be made.

Below is a link to a list of those retailers who are offering bonus discounts this holiday season.  If you are ordering from a retailer who is extending a bonus discount, please note on your order form the total percentage rebate you should receive.

Also of special note is the addition of Wal-Mart to our list of available vendors.  Don’t be fooled by the seemingly small 2% rebate, as this translates to $20 savings each month for our family alone!  Those cards are available in $25 and $100 denominations.  Wal-Mart’s participation in Scrip is a pilot program for them, as they have never given back to the community in this way before ... they are testing the waters.  Hopefully they’ll stick around, but there is a possibilty that they will fall off the list sometime in the future.  Take advantage of their generosity while they are still offering their rebate!
