The Brownsburg Swim Club offers training
and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It
is the goal of the Brownsburg Swim Club to offer
age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards
challenging each individual and developing each individual to the
best of THEIR abilities.

Group Placement
Coaches
evaluate swimmers on a daily basis and determine the training group
that best fits each swimmer’s experience, ability, maturity,
and motivation.
Bronze
DevelopmentalGroup
Requirements for Novice
Group: Swim 25 yds safely on back or front
Practices: 3 days a week for 60 minutes
Meets: 1 dual, if prepared
Skills to Master:
*Streamlining, Body Position, and
Water Awareness
*Basic form of 4 competitive
strokes
*Flipturns and open turns
*Diving start
*Understand training group rules
*Learn basic Drill list
Mesh equipment bag: Fins, kickboard, water

Bronze
Requirements for Bronze
Group:
Practices: 4 per week,(1 hour)
Meets: 4 dual/invites per season
Skills:
*Use of proper streamline body

*Ability to swim each stroke
proficiently
*Racing Starts
*Able to read the pace clock
*Mastery of Bronze Drill list
Mesh equipment bag: Fins, kickboard, small pull buoy,

Requirements for Silver
Group:
Practices: 3-5 per week, M - S (1.5 hours)
Meets: 4 dual/invites per season

National Team
The National
Team is composed of Brownsburg Swim Club’s most elite
athletes. In order to become a member of the National Team, a
National Time standard (Senior National or Sectional cut) must be
obtained and the swimmer must sign the Practice Agreement.

Any USA Swimming Sectional Cut
100% use of Log Book
Minimum of 80% practice
